It's been a while since I've been on Newgrounds. Sorry 'bout that...

I still do other stuff, though.

For those that haven't heard, the Telefrancais Collab is out. Definitely worth a peek in all it's eccentric and eerie glory. It's based off of an old string of educational videos that had to be watched by Canadian youth who were learning French in elementary schools, me being one of them along with my good buddy DarkLabStudios. Big ups to Bobert-Rob and the rest of the crew for finally assembling and releasing this beast. It was three months from the day I sent in my submission until the day it was released, but it was worth it. The scrapbook section turned out amazing.

Check out the Telefrancais Collab right here! ...And be sure to check out all the extras! This was a tough collab to finish, and it's well worth the effort!

As far as my PO3 submission goes, a few cuts had to be made and ideas were tossed every which way, but the final verdict is that it's going to be a three-part submission, with every level having at least three sub-sections and a final boss fight. I'm hoping that releasing the chapters successively can help smooth out bugs/adjust certain parameters/improve the overall game so it can really be the best possible experience. It's been rocky so far, but UnkownFury and Nal1200 are just as determined to see the final product. I'm still waiting for a demo to test out everything, but in the meantime you can look at this screen HERE for a quick peek. I'll try to post up some pieces in action so you can better see the fluidity of the whole thing. Drawing by hand is a pain in the ass.

Just a couple of tiny announcements.
For one, and the thing I'm really excited about, is an old MTV sketch comedy show that's finally getting to see the light of day after about a decade of total obscurity. The State, a show starring and created by some of today's greatest comedy writers and actors, is finally being released in about 2 weeks. For those unfamiliar with their work (which is absolutely genius) can check out their site at http://www.the-state.com/ for a list of works and the members of the troupe.

Or, you can be lazy and check out this video:

Also, I've been getting into early 70's Progressive Hard Rock. I'd probably consider that era the epitome of hard rock, and probably rock in general. Every since the mid 70's, almost everything's gone to shit. If American Idol goes on for one more season, I might just punch someone in the face. Bands like
Atomic Rooster, Cactus, Dust, Patto, and Sir Lord Baltimore deserve more attention and recognition than 90% of the so-called artists that plague our billboards and radio stations.
Sorry if I'm going on a rant, but I'll stop here.
For those that aren't aware, Sir Lord Baltimore was the first band where the term "Heavy-Metal" was coined. Their song "Kingdom Come" is badass on it's own, but mixed with footage from a Steve McQueen movie is like Jesus pile-driving a Siberian Tiger. Awesome...

Finally, work on animation has been at a standstill. I'm working full-time, so I can't get as much as I wanted to get done. The Telefrancais collab is still in the works. You can check out Bobert-Rob's page for info, or go to the original thread for more info. I'm hoping it'll be ready soon. It sucks when you finish your part on time...
As for Power of Three, it's a rough start, but I'm positive that the final product is going to be nothing short of awesome. Character animations are going well, but it's tough when everything is hand-drawn. I'll keep posting updates about the game, but for now, I'll leave you with this portion of the one-sheet.
Enjoy, NG!

UPDATE: Not looking anymore. Thank you to everyone who took the time to write a PM!

I'm looking for a team to be a part of for the Power of Three. I'm not too worried about musicians at this point, mostly focusing on programmers, but I'm open nonetheless.
I've already got a great idea lined up, I have all the parts prepared from the gameplay, to the look, to the characters, and even the story. All I need is a coder (and a musician...).
If you have experience, PM me. Don't be shy.
I'm looking for someone to code a three level beat 'em up with bosses. Nothing too complicated, but we can work things out as well.
I've got good artistic skills and was even considering drawing the entire game by hand, on paper, but I might reconsider given the three month time frame. I had parts in both MGS collabs (not the best) and an upcoming part in the Telefrancais collab coming soon, as well as the works on my page.
A quick example that I whipped up to give a better idea of what the game will look like can be seen here:

And below...

Power of Three? ...Bueller? ...Bueller?

In what's most likely to be news of the century (and probably brings the funniest visuals to mind... think of him charging up a punch and shouting "ShamWow!" on contact) is an article I cut out from my daily paper here in Montreal. I couldn't believe my eyes either...
Check out my previous post for the actual article!
This could be the start of some truly amazing parody videos, animations, etc...
Just to give you an idea, I whipped something up quickly after a long day at work.
But seriously, Vince is my hero.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on a prostitute-punching rampage.

"ShamWow Guy arrested for punching prostitute"

I was thinking about making fondue with cheddar cheese for dinner tonight.
Yea.

I know it's wrong.
You don't have to tell me.

You'll understand when it comes out...
Until then, just disregard this message.

I'd just like to apologize in advance...

You can expect more Flash submissions on my part in the near future. I've been a long-time fan of NG and hope to be able to submit some excellent quickies and full-out romps, with some foreplay to spare. I'm in the most excellent mood now that my submission got in the Metal Gear Collab, as well as my good buddy Darklabstudios (His is a bonus clip. Good luck!). Booya.

Plus this post makes my page look a lot less... naked.
